Preserving fabric art and objects of cultural heritage
A luxury unisex fashion label aiming to work as textile art conservation forum. Collaborating with master crafters from all around Pakistan to examine, treat and reconstruct these art pieces putting the preservation of south-asia craftsmanship front and centre.

CHUNRI
Scholars believe that the first evidence of Chunri or Bandhani in South Asia can be seen in a sixth-century cave painting depicting the life of the Buddha in the Ajanta murals. The Chunri technique was originally practiced by the Khatri community in Sindh and subsequently gained popularity among artisans of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Creating Chunri patterns involves intricate and time-honored techniques. Skilled artisans first fold or twist the fabric or tie tiny portions of the fabric with a thread. They then dip the fabric in different dyes, after the dye is completely dried, the knots are unwound to expose striking dotted designs and geometric patterns..
